“Gurkerl” from Czech Republic to Munich in a few years

The origin of the eGrocery provider is as a Czech start-up. The company, founded by Tomáš Čupr in 2014, has already grown and trades as rohlik.cz in Prague, kifli.hu in Budapest and as gurkerl.at in Vienna. The next online supermarket is planned to launch in Munich in 2021 under the name knuspr.de.

At the Tech Park Vienna location, gurkerl.at has more than 100 employees, who work in the 11,000 square feet of office space and 54,000 square feet of warehouse space. The website's product range includes over 7,500 products. In Vienna and surrounding areas, groceries are available within three hours from the time the order is placed to when it is delivered to the customer via the company's own fleet of natural gas-fuelled vehicles.
